MicroBase provides engineering services to customers looking for high precision, low cost and reliable process solution for inkjet nozzle plates.
By taking advantages of UV excimer laser’s high precision and no heat-affecting features for polymer material processing, MicroBase is able to fabricate high-end polyimide inkjet nozzle plate (1200 dpi or higher) at a low cost with high reliability. The ultraviolet excimer laser MicroBase currently employs, which has shorter wavelengths (248 micron) and higher energies, can easily break the molecular bonds of the materials to be processed without any unwanted heat effects.
The materials suitable for this so called laser ablation process include polyimide, PEEK and other polymers. This unique laser ablation process provides micron-scale accuracy, superior hole geometry and precision for inkjet head nozzle plates and similar micro machining applications.
